Polskie Znaki Graficzne

Diploma work at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk
Supervisor: Adam Kamiński, D.F.A.

The book comprises a selection of picked Polish trademarks and interviews with the masters of signs: Karol Śliwka, Ryszard Bojar as well as Roman Duszek. A great deal of graphic signs which we have been observing so far or observed until very recently in the streets of Poland were brought into being in the mid-20th century. The graphic designers active in this particular period are the focal point of the given publication. It presents fifty graphic signs designed within the time span of fifty years by fifty designers, such as Stefan Bernaciński, Ryszard Bojar, Jerzy Cherka, Roman Duszek, Jan Hollender, Jarosław Jasiński, Emilia Nożko-Paprocka, Karol Śliwka, Leon Urbański, Tytus Walczak, Franciszek Winiarski and many more. The book was featured as a special project at the Designing Polska Design In Poland exhibition in London.
